Security at World Youth Day 2016 World Youth Days preparations started right after Pope Francis announced that Poland will be the host of WYD - in July 2013. A special government ministry post was created for coordination of all the governmental services that work closely with the Governor of the Lesser Poland Region, City Hall in Krakow as well as the Local Orgnising Commitee of WYD 2016 so that the best possible security measures are provided for the participants of WYD 2016. The efforts to provide maximum possible security were undertaken not only in Krakow but in the all the dioceses where pilgrims will stay for Days in the Dioceses. Read more
